Strong Core (Pilates Abs+Yoga Back): Weekend Workout! 4-15-17

To build a strong core, combine Pilates ab exercises with yoga back bends. Pilates exercises emphasise abdominal and hip flexor work. Yoga emphasises strengthening and softening the upper back and elongating the abdominals and hip flexors.

In my opinion, Pilates work lacks the back strengthening and psoas lengthening exercises that yoga provides. Yoga lacks the intense (and functional) abdominal work that Pilates provides. This week, I have taken what I consider to be the best of both worlds and fused them together. Also, I added a beneficial exercise for the pelvis.
