Fix Your Diastasis Rectus Abdominis: Weekend Workout!

Previously, I wrote about how to Fix Your Belly Pooch, or Diastasis Rectus Abdominis. I didn’t want to merely give written instruction, so I made a diastasis recti Weekend Workout. Hopefully, my article and video will help people who are trying to deal with the discomfort and instability that comes with diastasis rectus abdominis.

Diastasis rectus abdominis is when the linea alba  stretches due to stress. The linea alba is the connective tissue between your right and left ab. When it is stretched, the abs sort of slide to the side as opposed to being straight in the center of your body. This displacement of the rectus abdominis causes instability within the body. Instability can cause misalignment, inappropriate muscle use, and pain.

But there’s good news! Diastasis rectus abdominis can frequently be fixed with the correct exercises. I chose these exercises because I have used them successfully on myself and clients to fix diastasis recti.

I hope you enjoy the video. If you do, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

While you’re here on my website, though, don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter and let me know if there are any workouts that you’d like to do in the future.
