Ab Challenge is this week’s theme for our Weekly Workout! A friend of mine told me that he was going to begin doing a sit-up routine as part of his exercise regime. If you read my article on Ab Prep, you might remember that I really don’t like sit-ups. To me, there reaches a point where the goal becomes actually sitting up. Once that goal shifts from working your abs to sitting up, your hip flexors get really involved. In my opinion, for most people, sit-ups work hip flexors more than they do abdominals. And no one is ever going to compliment you on your hip flexors.
For those who are new, Weekly Workout! is a 20-30 minute Pilates and yoga inspired exercise video. Some of the exercises we do today are The Hundred, Navasana, Roll-ups (you will really find your hip flexors on this), Single leg stretch, Double leg stretch, and several others.
